On Ajmal Kasab's Hanging

A young man, who was in his prime,
Committed a terrible crime
When, brainwashed to hate,
In 2008,
He snuffed out lives - didn't give a dime.

Then, four years down, there came a day,
When the system said, it's time to pay.
As the law ran it's course,
Did he feel some remorse--
For his heinous act in Bombay?

This morning, the news came in, muted,
That Kasab has been executed.
He died by the rope
And now let us hope
That we don't let our souls get polluted.

21/11/2012: This morning at 7:30am, Ajmal Kasab was hanged at Yerawada jail, almost four years after he went on a killing spree in Mumbai's (Bombay) Chhatrapati Shivaji Train Terminus. Read the the story here & here
