Blogcamp & Bangla blogging

Just back from the Blogcamp in Chennai. The 2-day 'unconference' was quite interesting. I also got to share my two-bits about what it is to bridge blogs written in a regional language, namely Bangla in my case.

And...well you guessed right. I had a limerick for the occasion, summing up my Bangla blogging experience :)

A Bengali, who is blogging in Bong,
Is not something that's been around long.
So what seems to daunt?
Mainly typing and font.
Let us hope Unicode makes us strong !

    Dear Aparna,
It is difficult to see a Bengali without poetry! I saw your mail in the BlogCamp mailing list( about how you got deleted from the wiki etc) I was touched by the verve and commitment.
Too bad you did not get enough time to talk.
Wish font, keymap woes melts away soon so that you can focus on the conversation. As you mentioned we think in the native language and barriers to blogging in native language are to be removed.

    cheers

Dang! How did I miss meeting you at Blogcamp... I must've been at one of the so-called-techie-sessions...
I have been a fan of your newsmericks. Great show.
    Cheers.
