Studying? Switch off the TV!

The class teacher looked rather stern:
“You’re not to watch TV while you learn.
It’s a major distraction,
Puts memory out of action,
if you do so, into a dumb ass you’ll turn!

Yahoo news 25/07/06: Your parents were right, don't study with the TV on. Multitasking may be a necessity in today's fast-paced world, but new research shows distractions affect the way people learn, making the knowledge they gain harder to use later on. Read about the study here

    Inactivity due to constant TV-watching,
Leads to obesity with that extra-munching.
TV has adults n kids transfixed
With mouth open and stare fixed.
It's not called Idiot Box for nothing!

Sorry Aparna ,to breach on your space to reply to diabolic preacher.
Hi, I have no limerick page or blog. I only comment here or
    anywhere I can.

Have been fond of limericks since
my teen years. Used to read them
a lot and also write them sometimes..

I genuinely like Aparna's work which I find unique and so take the liberty of commenting here once too often...
