This started off as a fun comment on a friend's FB page. Thought I'd share it here as well.
The first 2 lines were taken from The Big Red Train Ride, by Eric Newby, 1978. The task was to complete the piece :)
There was a young lady of Perm,
Who had an affair with a worm.
But soon it was strained,
Because, she complained,
"It's slimy and cannot stay firm!"
