We don't need no foreign words

Preserving any language is fantastic
But I do think this action a bit drastic
Will my pizza taste the same,
When instead of its name
I have to call it a loaf that’s elastic?

TOI 29/07/06: Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has ordered government and cultural bodies to use the modified Persian words instead of foreign words, turning pizzas into "elastic loaves," official and domestic media reported on Saturday. Read more about it here

    What about India
    What will be Pizza?
    Sabzi Paneer ki Roti
    Or Tadke-di-paranthi?
    Or simply spiced Uthappa?

    wikipedia says about iranian languages:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iranian_languages

The Iranian languages are a branch of the Indo-European language family with an estimated number of 150-200 million native speakers today.[1] Together with the Indo-Aryan languages they form the Indo-Iranian languages group, a branch of Indo-European. With Avestan and Old Persian, the Iranian languages comprise two of the oldest recorded Indo-European languages (along with the Indic language Vedic Sanskrit, Greek, and Hittite).

So in fact he should rather ban arabic words from his language instead of indian or european words. But Mahmoud is getting more and more weired ideas I think, really annoying this guy.
