An icon, no less

In the polls his party was knocked out
But as a brand, he has enormous clout
From lozenges to a doll
His name now spans all
Can you guess, whom I am talking about?


DNA India 18/06/06: Cricketing heroes Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar or Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan may be advertisement icons, but in Bihar it's Brand Lalu which is ruling the market, particularly in rural areas. After Lalu dolls and lozenges, it's now the turn of a fodder product and cosmetic pack named after the RJD chief that are creating waves in the rural markets of Bihar. Read about it here
