No Tamil please, we're Americans!

Said a Tamilian to fellow Southie mates:
“If you are thinking of flying in the States,
Stay dumb if you will
But don’t speak Tamil
Or they won’t let you pass through their gates!”

Yahoo News 06/10/06: A man, found speaking in Tamil at the Seattle airport, had to face tough questions and was forced to miss his flight. He was later allowed to take another flight with a promise not to speak in a foreign language at an airport. Read about it here.

Will the paranoia ever end?

LOL!!Heard this piece of news recently. What can I say?

    I've been to Seattle
    I speak Tamil
In a foreign land, it matters little
If you speak strange, get ready to be held against your will!
    Keep them coming

  3. Ah yes it was Dave Barry who said " Americans who travel abroad for the first time are often shocked to discover that, despite all the progress that has been made in the last 30 years, many foreign people still speak in foreign languages” :D
